WEEE Disassembly

 

Legislative Decree 151 of 2005 sets out that the party responsible for the placement on the market of the electrical and electronic equipment (or the Producer) makes the information about the reusage and treatment for every type of new equipment placed on the market available to the reusage centres and the treatment and recycling centres. This information must show the different EEE components and materials as well as where the hazardous substances preparations are within the devices.

To sum up, the producer must provide the envirohas nmental managers who need it with all the information about the materials contained in the WEEE, for the classification of the waste as hazardous or not, for the identification of the hazardous components, for the identification of the materials that can be improved, so as to make the waste end of life treatment processes more efficient thanks to a careful selection in the operational stages.

Making the WEEE safe, which has to be done at the same time as measures in Annex 3 Article 4 in the legislative decree 151/05 completes the disposal operations through the separated collection of this type of waste.
